Private photo tours
Our photo tours are fully customized to what you’d like to do, see, and learn. We’ll work with your schedule, and can do photo tours by car, hiking, or on snowshoes or skis in the winter. Tours are with an experienced photographer, and can include as much or as little instruction as you like. If you need any rental equipment, we can help.
Some suggested tour themes are:
- Wildlife photo safaris
- We can do general wildlife tours, or if you have particular animals you’d like to see, we can focus on areas where they are more likely to be seen. While nature has the final say, we know many insider tricks on when, where, and how to see the animals. Come for an exciting day seeking bison, elk, bighorn, bears, and more!
- Scenic vistas
- Amazing scenic locations abound and we will take you to the best of them, including some hidden gems. Mountains, cliffs, lakes, rivers, beaver-dammed streams, waterfalls, thermal features – the natural beauty in Yellowstone and its surrounds is endless!
- Wildflower photo tours
- Wildflowers generally tend to bloom in late May through July, depending on location, elevation, and flower species. We will venture by car or foot to some of the best spots for beautiful fields of flowers.
- Combination photo adventure
- Want to to see some of everything without a specific focus. No problem! We will be happy to create a custom day just for you!
- Astrophotography (night sky)
- Photograph the Milky Way, capture star trails, or – if you are very lucky – see the aurora borealis from a variety of scenic locations, conditions permitting
Adventures
Our guided adventures are curated specifically for your private group. We welcome groups of all ages, interests, and outdoor experience levels. Many of these expeditions will be similar to photo tours, but differ in that no photo instruction is provided, and the focus is on the experience rather than focusing on photography.
Things that can be included in your itinerary include:
- Guided drives
- See wildlife and scenic views in off-the-beaten path areas, while learning about local lore.
- Your interests and your way! Want to combine a museum visit with a picnic at a mountain lake? A lakeside rock-hound adventure and geology tour of an old earthquake site? We have you covered.
- Guided hiking, snowshoeing, or cross-country ski trips
- Explore near creeks and mountain lakes, see beaver dams and waterfalls, marvel at thermal features in Yellowstone, run through fields of wildflowers, and enjoy nature in the Greater Yellowstone ecosystem! Many of our adventures are in areas where it can be rare to see fellow hikers.

Our goal is to make your trip seamless and to maximize your time with your family and friends, while having fun with quality adventures. You let us know what you’d like, and we will recommend activities based on the interests and physical abilities of your whole group. We’ll create a customized itinerary and manage all the details for your accommodations, activities, community events, gear rentals, dining and more.

We will also fulfill concierge requests – from grocery stocking to a personal orientation to Big Sky, including wildlife safety instruction (bear spray) to planning a special picnic or night out.
