My name is Thomas Reed, and I’d like to welcome you to Backroads Bear Adventures! We’re based in Big Sky, Montana, home of Big Sky Resort, strategically located between Bozeman and the west entrance to Yellowstone, with access to many different outdoor adventure opportunities.
We offer curated adventures and photo tours, specialized trip planning, and concierge services. We will help you understand all that the area has to offer and will learn more about your interests, and the comfort and outdoor ability level of each group member. Once we know you, we will help you blend our tours, other local adventure activities with trusted partners, and community events into a perfect trip itinerary.
One of our specialties is wildlife and other nature photography. We know the area as only locals can, and know how to get you to the best photo opportunities. Whether it’s by driving, hiking, snowshoeing, or skiing, I’ll take you there. You can learn more about me on our About page.
We also provide concierge services. We’ll help you book a hotel, get reservations for dining, stock your lodging with food that you request, arrange a special event, or even book a sitter watch the kids. If you have a special hope for your trip, we will work with you to make it happen!
Montana is BIG and you will be immersed in the wilderness. Some of the most amazing places near Big Sky are outside of Yellowstone and take some local know-how to experience. Many of our most stunning sights are in areas with no cell service, few people, and plenty of wildlife. We can help you enjoy these experiences safely. Come discover the wild – without the worry!
